‘I would be speechless in front of Madhubala’

Much has been written about how actress Drashti Dhami character in the show Madhubala.. Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is very close to that of yesteryear actress Madhubala.

In fact, people have been talking about the two have very similar eyes. However, Drashti feels she would be very uncomfortable if made to face the yesteryear actress in real life. “If I ever had to met the Madhubala, I would be speechless,” she says.
The actress, who started her career as a dance instructor before moving on to music videos and then television, says that her family was against her getting into acting. “When I told my family about my first music video Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Re they were against it. They thought I would get into bad company, if I became an actor. It was only after my cousin persuaded them that I was allowed to work in television,” she adds.
