Fine knocks by Milind Tandon (88) and Prashant Bhati (60) helped RP Academy beat Ravindra Academy by 80 runs in the final of the Satish Sharma Memorial Under-17 cricket tournament at the Jamia Milia grounds in the capital on Tuesday.
Batting first, Tandon and Bhati helped RP Academy notch up 170/3 in their allotted overs. Tandon’s 61-ball 88 run knock was studded with 11 fours and a six, while Bhati consumed 60 balls for his knock. He slammed seven fours and a maximum.
Chasing, Ravindra Academy had no answers to Vishal Chaudhary and Sandeep Bagla’s bowling, who scalped two wickets each. Rahul Dagar was the top-scorer with 38, as the team folded up for 90.
