The fall of 2012 is getting more popular than the summer of ‘69. No, this time it’s not about a season or a song or a seasonal song. It is about the fall of the Indian rupee to other major currencies across the world.
Experts compare this sudden fall to the sudden drop in IQ level when someone joins politics. No, I’m not talking about Sachin Tendulkar. He is a classic example who proves that even God can undergo midlife crisis and make mistakes.
There are some good things about the fall too. My cousin in USA is secretly happy that he made his mom in India believe he has started sending her more money. While the Punjabis are happy that they get more rupees for Canadian Dollars, the Malayalis are happy for the same reason for rupees against Dubai Dirhams.
As usual people on Twitter started making jokes about this whole thing. @Funny_Leone (yes that’s me) stated that the Indian Rupee is now eligible to enter the Bigg Boss house.
Actually, imports are being very badly affected. We import so much stuff that is found outside our country like oil, petrol etc and we also import the stuff that we once exported, like Sunny Leone.
The petrol price is reaching the sky more often than Air India and KingFisher flights. Everybody works one full month to fill just half a tank of petrol, except a Poor Parsi who earns about Rs 90,000 a month. Or we need to earn like Shah Rukh Khan to fill a tank, provided we don’t pick a fight with the staff there and get banned from entering any petrol station.
But I think this increase in petrol price will help the economy grow. This is how it will work. Already our auto rickshaw drivers are the best behaved individuals in the world. After the price increase their behaviour will be even more bizarre and the auto meter will also be tampered. Passengers will get angry and develop Blood Pressure. They will have to visit the doctor. If millions of harassed auto passengers visit hospitals, it would boost the medical industry and in turn our economy and ultimately, our GDP. Always think positive. Satyamev Jayate.
