Daredevil wirewalker Jay Cochrane walked 581 feet up in the air on the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls in the first of the 81 walks across a tightrope to achieve a world record.
The 68-year old walked across the 1,300 ft tightrope for around half an hour on Saturday.
"Yes, it was difficult, but if it was easy, everyone would do it," The Daily Mail quoted a zesty Cochrane, as saying.

Cochrane walked the 1,300 ft long wire without a safety harness and no nets below relying only on his talent, balance and 50 years of experience of tightrope walking at breathtaking heights
"This walk approaches the grandeur of my Great China Skywalk across Qutang Gorge above the Yangtze River," Cochrane said.
Cochrane will walk 1,300 feet between the two buildings for 81 straight days, starting July 6, 2012.
