Energy efficiency has always been a key concern for the Infocomm industry but peak energy prices experienced a few years ago moved this issue to the top of the priority list. This is being reflected at Asia’s most established business event for the global ICT industry, CommunicAsia2010 to be held in Singapore from 15 to 18 June at the Singapore Expo.
The event has a special cluster on new green technologies that will be on special display. Says Agnes Leung, Senior Project Manager (Communications Events), Singapore Exhibition Services, “While innovative companies have continually been developing solutions that help the industry use less energy, the “Green” movement has ensured that even more investments are put into these areas. The Sustainable ICT cluster at CommunicAsia2010 is the result of both an increase in the number of companies providing “green” solutions and the industry demand for ways to cut costs and carbon emissions.”
The event will showcase a comprehensive display of convergent technologies and feature new attractions for exhibitors and visitors from the region.
