Former DGCA E.K. Bharat Bhushan has now raised objections to the claim of the DGCA that no file noting written (on Kingfisher) by Mr Bhushan, just before his removal from the post of the DGCA, existed and has termed it a “serious matter” in a communication sent to the new DGCA Prashant Sukul, top DGCA sources have confirmed to this newspaper. Mr Bhushan was removed last week from the post of the DGCA by the civil aviation ministry. Mr Bhushan, now an additional secretary and financial adviser in the steel ministry, was unavailable for comments on Wednesday.
Mr Sukul had issued an official statement last week that no such file noting existed. Mr Sukul is now likely to write to Mr Bhushan reiterating that no such file noting exists in the official records of the DGCA. The alleged file noting purported to have been written by Mr Bhushan just before his removal apparently suggested that Mr Bhushan had planned to initiate action within 15 days against Kingfisher for failure to pay its employees salaries on time and alleged failure to stick to its recovery plan. According to sources, the communication of Mr Bhushan alleges that the file noting written by him seems to be missing from the file, in view of the statement by the DGCA that no such file noting exists, and that it is a serious matter.
