Previously secret FBI records released on Monday show there were death threats against then-Senator Edward Kennedy, even five years after his failed 1980 White House bid. The documents showed that on May 23, 1985, the US Capitol Police passed onto the FBI a copy of a letter sent to the Secret Service, ostensibly by a Warren, Michigan, resident. The sender, whose name was redacted, declared: “Brass tacks, I’m gonna kill Kennedy and (President Ronald) Reagan, and I really mean it.” The Federal Bureau of Investigation considered the sender armed and dangerous, but an accompanying psychological analysis said she was “merely ventilating her frustrations and projecting her inadequacies.”
The 1985 threat was among 2,352 pages of documents the FBI posted on its website regarding the late senator, who died last year at the age of 77.

Taxi driver returns bag with $26,500
Hanoi (Vietnam) : A Vietnamese company says it’s lucky an honest man was driving the taxi cab where a forgetful employee left a bag with about $26,500 in the back seat.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien, human resources officer for Cuu Long Petro Gas Service Transportation JSC in Ho Chi Minh City, says the passenger left the bag in the cab last week. It had important documents as well as the money in three currencies. The passenger called the cab company after he realised the bag was missing. The 23-year-old driver, Mr Doan Thanh Xuan, heard the radio call and returned the bag unopened.
He was given a $100 reward from the company and grateful passenger.
