Karnataka MLA and Gali Janardhan Reddy’s brother Gali Somasekhar Reddy appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau for the second day on Saturday in connection with the cash-for-bail scam. Mr Somasekhar Reddy was grilled for seven hours on Saturday before he was allowed to leave. The MLA was asked to appear for further questioning again on Monday. Mr Somasekhar Reddy is an accused in the cash-for-bail scam and is facing the allegations of striking a deal with CBI special judge T. Pattabhi Rama Rao with the help of mediators for granting bail for his brother Gali Janardhan Reddy.
The CID confronted Mr Janardhan Reddy’s relative G. Dasrathram Reddy with Mr Somasekhar Reddy and grilled the duo on how the deal was struck to get bail for Mr Janardhan Reddy. Dasrathram Reddy is already under arrest and his five-day police custody ended on Saturday.
