Breaking his long silence, Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday warned of a T-agitation after August 20 if the Centre failed to grant statehood to Telangana. “They promised to give (Telangana). Let’s wait for another 5, 10 or 15 days. After August 20, there will be no parties, no flags and the region will reverberate with the T-movement. I am 100 per cent confident that Telangana will be achieved,” he said.
Mr Rao added that he would hold talks with party leaders and chalk out an action plan to secure statehood for the region. Taking a dig at his critics, he said that he had been silent on the request of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who wanted a peaceful environment to take a decision.
