Heaving a sigh of relief, many Indian students from Bishkek returned on Thursday. They took a normal commercial flight that brought them safely to Delhi. From here they all would reach their respective places either by train or by their own conveyance.
They all were very appreciative of the help rendered by the India embassy there. The flight that carried them to India had seventy eight students, out of which twenty are from Andhra Pradesh. All the students had gone there to pursue medicine. They all had to wind up their semester ahead of schedule, owing to the conditions there.
They all had almost completed their exams but were asked to leave early. Farhad from Assam, a first year student of Medicine said that he had one more exam to give which he would do on his return in September. Anusha and Nirosha from Vizag, both in their second year of Medicine also said that they had to start early for their vacation because of the troubled situation there. Fathima, a student from Kakinada said the Indian students from her university were not at all affected by the clashes that took place away from the capital city. She also praised the Indian embassy staff for all the assistance provided to them. All the students were unanimous in thanking the Indian embassy for not only helping them leave early but also for assisting all other students who are slowly reaching the capital Bishkek. Some Indian students from the troubled areas have either lost their passports or don’t have any valid documents.
But they all are well taken care of by the embassy officials who are making the required arrangements for their departure to India soon. They all would return to continue their studies in the first week of September.
