Former international Dalimia Chibber struck six goals as Tagore International School, Lajpat Nagar, trounced Sadar Patel Vidalaya 6-0 in their last league match of the preliminary stage of the 1st Delhi Soccer Association inter-school girls football tournament at the DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex in Jasola here on Thursday.
Chibber scored in the 5th, 9th, 11th, 14th, 23rd and 35th minutes, guiding her team into the quarter-finals.
Joining Tagore International in the last-16 stage were Noida-based Father Agnel School, Father Agnel School of Greater Noida, APJ Noida, and Cambridge, all of whom defeated their respective rivals on the day.
Rebecca scored a double (3rd and 12th minutes), while Manak (1st) and Seema (30th) netted one apiece in the Noida-based Father Agnel School’s 4-0 rout of Mater Dei School.
APJ School, Noida, rode on Jaya Bhatia’s winner (17th minute) to defeat Lotus Valley School, Noida 1-0.
In another match, Greater Noida-situated Father Agnel trumped Amity International School, Saket, by a 4-0 margin. Chandni (6th), Shama (16th), Anju (29th, 30th) were the goal-scorers.
In the day’s last match, Cambridge School beat Army Public School, Noida, 3-0. Divya Joshi scored a brace, while Solanki Singh added another.
