Emraan turns to rings to ward off negativity

That Ekta Kapoor is one influential woman who can call very important shots in both the television industry and Bollywood is well-known. Her penchant for the supernatural and religious aspects of life has made numerologists and tarot readers overnight stars.

No doubt then that she has influenced her latest muse Emraan Hashmi. The star of two of her very successful films Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture, Emraan has been spotted wearing a plethora of rings.
“He has been wearing those rings for a while now. Emraan is very superstitious and he feels that the rings help him ward off the negativity around him,” says his spokesperson. Considering the actor was not really the pick of Bollywood’s top-brass directors for a long time, we don’t think he had much attention earlier (kiss-a-thons not included), leave alone negativity. But the tides have changed with Ekta creating a niche for him and Shanghai making him a name to reckon with. Sudden fame can surely bring in its fair share of negativity.
The actor though, modest in his success, attributes his rise to the safety and the precautions that he takes to keep jealousy and evil eyes away.
