Even as Cauvery River Authority (CRA) meeting ended in a deadlock on Wednesday, Karnataka has been faulted for not keeping its word given to Supreme Court early this month as it released water to Tamil Nadu a day late on September 12 and reduced the assured 10,000 cusecs even a day ahead on September 19.
Karnataka had not released the assured water during the 10 days as the water realized also includes rain in the catchments beyond Biliguntulu, sources reasoned.
Tamil Nadu only got 8.35tmcft during September 12-19, against the 8.6tmcft, sources added.
Delta farmers are also facing a major crisis as Mettur dam has water enough to feed delta crops only for the next 36 and half days.
