As many as 280 students received their degrees at the 11th convocation of IIIT-Hyderabad here on Saturday.
The institute has achieved 100 per cent placements this year with nearly 60 companies taking part in campus recruitment program-mes.
Speaking at the convocation, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, who was the chief guest, asked technical institutions and students to develop technologies that are affordable for all.
IIIT-H chancellor Prof. Raji Reddy said another IIIT will be set up in the state by the next academic year under public-private partnership and it will be mentored by the IIIT-H.
However, location of the new IIIT is yet to be finalised, though Chittoor and Nellore districts are being considered by the government.
