Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman Tarun Vijay said here on Friday that the situation in Kashmir Valley has gone out of control and the Central government has failed to maintain the honour of the security forces in the troubled state.
Mr Vijay was addressing mediapersons at the state BJP headquarters. He said that the security personnel, who are supposed to keep the secessionist elements under control have been asked to restrain themselves and in the process they are becoming targets of stone-pelting mobs, mostly comprising of mercenaries on the pay role of disruptive forces. “Every single attack on security personnel in the Valley is not an attack on any individual but an attack and assault on India,” said Mr Vijay.
The Centre and the state are jointly responsible to ensure protection of the security forces that have been sent to the Valley to fulfil the responsibility of maintaining peace and order, he said.
