Germany’s Thomas Mueller celebrates after scoring the first goal in the third minute of their match against Argentina in Cape Town on Saturday. Miroslav Klose scored the second off a cross from Lukas Podolski in the 68th minute. Arne Friedrich scored six minutes after Klose to make it 3-0 and Klose scored yet again — an 89th minute volley — to rout the Argentinians 4-0. The Albiceleste got their first shot on goal only in the 33rd minute. It failed. The rest of the time, despite some fine runs by Messi, they were shut down.
