Ranbir and Abhi won’t reunite soon

Contrary to all rumours doing the rounds, Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan won’t be seen sharing the frame anytime soon. There were loud whispers in the industry that the two star sons will be uniting for Sudhir Mishra’s most ambitious venture Mehrunnisa but the director has denied it.

“I can tell you for sure Abhishek and Ranbir are definitely not a part of my film. In fact, they were not even considered for the roles. I have never approached them, so I have no idea where the speculations came from. It’s unfair to associate their names with it,” says Sudhir.
According to sources, their names were brought up ever since Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor came in. “Since Sudhir planned to showcase the younger version of the characters played by the veteran actors, it seemed like an obvious choice that their real life sons played the part,” says a source. But now Sudhir has confirmed that he will announce the cast soon after the release of his next film Inkaar. Guess we will have to wait longer to see Abhi and Ranbir combine forces on screen.
