Varun has found his lucky mascot

Varun Dhawan and Prabhu Deva don’t have much in common but there’s something that binds the two of them and that’s dance. While Prabhu has been regaling the industry with his dance moves for over two decades now, Varun who just made his debut in Student of The Year showed the world that he can dance too.

And his skills have been noticed by none other than Prabhu Deva. Ever since he has been motivating Varun and the latter sees him as his lucky mascot.
“Recently, Varun was supposed to perform at an awards function and was practising for the same. Prabhu, who happened to be around, complimented him on his work in SOTY. He also wished him good luck for the evening ahead,” says a source. Needless to say, Varun was deeply touched. “What made his day further was the fact that Prabhu made it a point to share his views with Varun even after the latter’s performance got over,” adds the source. Those present at the event have said that Varun’s performance was indeed impressive. “It was one of the major highlights of the function. He showcased all kinds of dance moves — Bollywood, Western and contemporary. Prabhu noticed that and made sure he gave Varun his feedback,” the source adds.
Now, with more performances lined up, Varun is keeping his fingers crossed to see if his lucky mascot is around to cheer him.
