In the midst of Opposition protests in Karnataka over the illegal mining issue, state Governor H.R. Bharadwaj on Tuesday met President, Ms Pratibha Patil. The Governor along with his wife met the President over breakfast, Rashtrapati Bhavan sources said. Both Houses of Karnataka Legislature on Monday witnessed protests by Opposition leaders over the illegal mining issue. Opposition leaders have also demanded resignation of Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yeddyurpapa, despite his assertion that he would put an end to the menace.
