Share videos online to earn cool bucks

The moment we get to see an interesting clip, what is that we often do? Share with friends! Isn’t it? What if this sharing of videos can also let you earn some money? It isn’t very surprising, as Delhi-based software professionals and a team of two brothers have come up with a new portal VDOcity through which one can actually earn money by sharing videos with friends and on the social network sites.

“The more videos you share, the more points you earn,” says 31-year-old Manmeet Singh, who recently launched the portal in the capital with his brother Sanmeet.
One just has to create a personal account on VDOcity and by remaining active on it, you can earn points that will be subsequently converted into your preferred currency at the end of every month.
“In this age, we are mostly online and we just don’t want to read about a particular event, rather watch it. Our idea was to create a platform (something like YouTube) where watching videos gives you something in return,” says Manmeet, and adds it’s just a start, as right now there are only around two million users on the portal.
College student Nishika Bhatia says that she makes the most of portals like these. “I’m a tech freak and keep accumulating ‘Paypal points’ by doing various activities on the Internet. But I have never earned points for watching videos. This seems to be an interesting initiative, especially for people like me for whom the virtual world is so important,” says Nishika.
