YSRC joins TRS bandwagon, to move NCM against Kiran

Hyderabad: The YSRC on Wednesday decided to join the race with the TRS to move a no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. 
Though TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu has refused to back the TRS-sponsored move — he hasn’t stated his position on the YSRC decision — both parties have decided to serve notices for the motion on Thursday.
The TRS and the YSRC will submit the notices under Rule 75 of rules of procedure to the Secretary Legislature, prior to the sitting of the House on Thursday.
It is not known whether Speaker Nadendla Manohar will take up the not-ices on Thursday itself to get the leave of the House. Other parties like the MIM, CPM and the BJP may also serve separate notices to move no-confidence motions.
Dr M.V. Mysoora Reddy, member of the YSRC political affairs committee, asked the TD to move a no-confidence motion as all parties are of the opinion that the state government had failed on all fronts.
“We’re prepared to move the motion on our own, so are some other parties. But since the TD has the numbers, if it moves the motion it will be admitted by the Speaker,” he said.
Naidu backing Congress: KCR
The TRS president,  K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was all fire and brimstone as he lashed out at the Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for not supporting his party’s proposed no-confidence motion and trying to save the Kiran Kumar Reddy government from collapse.
“I tell you (Naidu) it’s a historical blunder to back out from the no-confidence motion. People will teach you a lesson. You have been exposed for your open support to the Congress. You have lost credibility,” Rao said.
 
The TRS chief said if Naidu fails to back the TRS-backed motion, it would give notice to the Speaker anyway on Thursday. “We have 30 MLAs to back it,” he said. Naidu would put a “chameleon to shame by changing colours faster”, he said and asked why Mr Naidu was hell bent on saving the government.
 
“He is a third-rate political leader. How does it matter if the TRS or any other party moves a no-confidence motion when he is against Congress policies?” he said. Taking exception to Naidu’s refusal to back TRS move,  Rao said the party had no objection if the TD takes the initiative itself.
 
“We will support TD if it decides to move a no-trust motion. Let them inform us by the evening,”  Rao said. On the TD complaint that it had not been consulted, Rao said, “It is childish to say I have not consulted them. I wrote a detailed letter to both Naidu and Vijayamma. If there is no reply, we will give notice to the Speaker on Thursday.”
 
Rao also asserted that he would stand by his word to merge the TRS with the Congress if the ruling party grants Telangana with 10 districts, including Hyderabad as capital. He was reacting to TD legislator Revanth Reddy who sought a vow from Rao that he would not join the Congress.

YSRC resorting to blackmail: Naidu
 The Telugu Desam chief,  N. Chandrababu Naidu, flayed the dual role of YSR Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
Speaking to the media at Bhaggeswaram, during his ongoing Meekosam Vasthunna padayatra in West Godavari on Wednesday, the TD chief stated that his party was fighting against the Congress as it was adopting anti-people policies for the last three decades.
Referring to the YSRC’s recent statement that it would support the Congress in Parliament, but fight against the same party in the state, he wondered how they could trust such a party.
He alleged that the YSR Congress was resorting to blackmail by announcing to support the proposed No-Confidence Motion against the Congress in the state Assembly in order to get rid of the cases of graft and get bail to their party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He also blamed the TRS for sharing power with the Congress earlier and wanting to move a No-Confidence Motion against it now.
He expressed doubts over the TRS’ sincerity on its proposed move, saying that it had intended to merge with the Congress in 2014.
Naidu said the TD leaders were well aware of when they should move a No-Confidence Motion against the Congress government.
