After wooing the state’s youth, the Akhilesh Yadav government is now planning a unique scheme for widows in Uttar Pradesh. The state government is mulling a proposal to gift one cow to each widow so that the widow can make a living for herself selling milk.
Animal husbandry minister Raj Kishore Singh said on Friday that he had discussed the scheme with the CM and the latter had approved the same.
“We are working out the modalities of the scheme,” the minister said.

Indian wrongly identified as boston bomber
Washington, April 19: Indian-American student Sunil Tripathi, who had been missing since mid-March, was on Friday wrongly identified on social media websites as one of the two suspects responsible for the Boston Marathon terror attack. The rumour started on Thursday evening after the Boston police and the FBI released videos of two suspects. — PTI
