For their upcoming film Lootera, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh have tried to recreate the romance of veteran actors Dev Anand and Sadhana.

“It is a vintage romance story and although Sonakshi and Ranveer look nothing like the yesteryear matinee idols, their wardrobe and looks have been styled in a way such that they remind you of the magic of the bygone era,” informs our source adding that the music sequences of the film especially, are inspired by the couple’s classic hit song Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar from the film Hum Dono.
While it was difficult to portray Ranveer as the debonair Dev Anand and Sonakshi as the petite Sadhana, the two have tried to emote like their super seniors in the film industry.
“Director Vikramaditya Motwane wanted the actors’ eyes and the expressions to do all the talking — much like the movies in the olden times. And Abhi Na Jao Chhodkar was a perfect example of that. Hence the song was a strong inspiration to shoot the sequence of Sawaar Loon,” adds the source.
