Akki puts his faith in Sonu

If Akshay Kumar is to be believed, then Sonu Sood is the man with the Midas touch in B’town. Sonu has had quite a few hit films to his credit in the recent past and has been inundated with offers, we hear.

And no one could be happier than Akki, who first felt that Sonu had the potential to make it big when they worked together in Singh Is King — a belief that was reinforced when Sonu held his own with Salman Khan in Dabangg. Unfortunately, the duo never had a chance to work together after that.
But it looks like the producer in Akki has finally found a project for Sonu. Apparently he has signed Sonu on for his home production Entertainment. Akki will, inevitably, play an important part in the film. Sonu’s power-packed performance is expected to add to the drama.
“Be it Singh Is King, Dabangg or Shootout At Wadala, Sonu’s star is shining bright. Our industry thrives on superstitions and right now, filmmakers have placed their bets on Sonu. It’s a huge pressure and we hope he can justify and sustain it,” said a source close to Akki. Entertainment goes on the floors at the end of this year.
In the meantime, Sonu is winding up his pending assignments. Entertainment is the first film that he has signed after SAW.
