Indian team for 2015 World Cup takes shape with Dhawan, Jadeja among others forming its nucleus

India was by far the best team in the ICC Champions Trophy winning all its matches convincingly and it is looking to become a dominant force which can rule the world of cricket in the shorter format of the game. England probably had the best chance of winning the tournament when the match was curtailed to 20 overs but crumbled under pressure as India took advantage of every single opportunity that came its way.
As the country gest ready to mount a successful defense campaign in the 2015 World Cup, here is a look at five players who are bound to form the nucleus of the team:
Shikhar Dhawan: Ever since he made his Test debut against the Aussies, Dhawan seems to have hit a purple patch with the bat. There is no alternative to scoring runs and Dhawan seems to be following it to the tee as he became the highest run-scorer in the ICC Champions Trophy. His aggressive style of play makes him an ideal choice for the opener's slot which in turn sets up the game for his side. From here on he can only improve as a player and become an integral part of India's success in the coming years.
Rohit Sharma: Known to be one of the best talents in the country Rohit Sharma till date has not done justice to his talent. However, with Dhoni choosing to make him an opener in one-day cricket may just help him to realise his potential as a player. India was brilliant with the bat all through out the Champions Trophy except the final and one of the reasons being the opening partnership between Dhawan and Sharma.
Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja seems to have come of age both with the bat and ball and can become the all-rounder India has been looking for. To add to that, he is a brilliant fielder and can make a lot of difference to the compositon of the side. With Jadeja in the side, Dhoni can afford to play an extra bowler and this gives him that extra choice which every Captain would love to have in his kitty.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bhuvneshwar Kumar can get the ball to move in any condition which makes him that bit dangerous and an asset to the Indian side. Known to swing the ball both ways he is the man to watch out for. Every time India is looking for an early wicket, Buuvneshwar does the job. His form with the ball in hand is very important to India's success in the future.
Umesh Yadav: Umesh Yadav is the ideal foil for somebody like Kumar who will run in hard and can surprise the batsman with his pace. Raw pace can be a gift as it enables you to be dangerous even when the conditions are not suitable to fast bowlers. A lot of the success in the Champions Trophy goes to the way our opening batters and bowlers performed which gave India the upper hand right for the outset.
