‘Bollywood is tough on models’

Model-turned actress Lisa Haydon, who made heads turn in Aisha, set temperatures soaring in the capital with her sizzling little black dress appearance. We recently caught up with the actress, who is all set for her upcoming films Santa Banta and Queen.
“I am excited about Akashdeep Sabir’s film Santa Banta, which also stars Boman Irani, Vir Das and Neha Dhupia. Vir Das is a multi-talented actor who has so much to share. Boman is a veteran star and a great human to work with. Neha and I also gelled well on the sets,” says the 27-year-old actress, who also starred in Rascals opposite Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn.
The Indo-Australian model mentions, “It is a Herculean task to make a mark in Bollywood if you hail from a modelling background because viewers have their biases against the models taking up acting.”
Haydon is also looking forward for the release of director Vikas Bahl’s film Queen. “It is a comedy-thriller film also featuring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Yadav. A major portion of the film has been shot in Amsterdam, Europe and is slated to release by the end of this year,” shares the actress.
The actress, who was in the capital to launch a new Schwarzkopf hair colour product says, “I regularly use a hair iron to battle the friziness that comes with this season and I go for a make-up that is always minimal and natural. Knowing your hair texture and using the right shampoo and conditioner is very important to have those lustrous locks.”
Lisa absolutely adores her trips to Delhi. She says, “We have lots of friends and family members here, so it almost feels like home. I love to roam around in the city and pick up the latest fashion trends and meet my designer friends and check out their collections.”
The babe was seen wearing sexy backless gowns at the IIFA events recently held at Macau. “It was my first visit and really loved watching the live performance. One of the best things that I realised while interacting with the foreign media was realising how far-reaching effects Indian cinema has on international audience,” concludes Haydon.
