John told to lose his six-pack abs

After devoting hours in the gym to create the perfect sculpted body and six-pack abs, John Abraham now has to work on losing weight.

Word in B’town is that John — who’s been sporting a bulked up look in his films like Force, Shootout At Wadala and Madras Café — has been asked by his new director, Siddiqui, to get rid of the muscle as he wants the actor to have a considerably leaner look in their project.
“John might not stop working out, but will go easy on his weight training. To lose that weight and get a lean body will take a few months. It might look and sound simple but it’s difficult to build a leaner frame for someone like John,” said a friend who works out with the actor.
Like his contemporaries, John too is adamant about doing what it takes to get into the skin of the character he’s portraying in his current films. “For Shootout At Wadala, John underwent hardcore training to get the results he wanted. Now, Siddiqui wants to show him in a softer avatar and his current look won’t do justice to the character,” our source added.
Previously, Aamir Khan too had to lose his six-pack abs to fit into his college boy role in 3 Idiots.
