[1]Kochi: Kerala high court on Monday dismissed the bail plea of actress Shalu Menon, the second accused in the solar case.
Justice S.S. Satheesachandran held that the material gathered by the Special Investigation Team gave enough room to suspect complicity of Shalu with the first accused Biju Radhakrishnan in the grave offence.
Shalu knowingly acted hand in glove with Biju for defrauding valuable sum from the complainant Razik Ali, it said.
“They carried out cheating and defrauding of innocent victims by acting as persons with responsible posts,” the court observed.
Meanwhile, the court granted bail to Shalu in another case registered by Perumbavoor police for shielding the first accused from arrest and enabling him to escape.
