Botsa Satyanarayana blames opposition for Congress' Telangana decision

Hyderabad: Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday blamed the opposition parties for the Centre's decision granting statehood for Telangana region.Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa said that as the PCC chief he gave his opinion in favour of united Andhra Pradesh. However, he said Telugu Desam Party, YSR Congress party and other opposition groups support the Telangana demand. He said expect MIM and CPI (M), no other party openly opposed Telangana.
Based on their opinion the Congress High Command took a decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. However, now the opposition parties are trying to gain political mileage by targeting the Congress party itself.
Meanwhile, Botsa appealed to the people in Seemandhra region to remain calm. He also condemned the demolition of statues of national leaders. (INN)
