Lindsay opts for holistic therapy

Lindsay Lohan will reportedly enter a rehabilitation clinic offering “holistic” therapies. The 24-year-old actress is due to enter a treatment facility when she is released from prison as part of her sentence for breaching probation and her advisors are said to believe the Malibu Beach Recovery Center in California will be the perfect place for her to receive help for her alleged problem with prescription drugs.
Addiction specialist Marty Brenner, who is not connected to Lindsay, explained the centre’s treatment plans to FoxNews.com.
He said, “It’s based on holistic types of treatment, things like yoga, meditation and focus on a healthy nutritious diet. It isn’t a 12-step programme, but it is a place that will probably be very good for Lindsay. Right now, any place that’s going to help her detox and get off the prescription medications will be good for her.”
According to the facility’s website, Lindsay’s treatment would include a special diet “based on the finest traditions of French cuisine” that has white rice, white bread, potatoes, sugar and caffeine, and she would also be asked to take a series of “bio-active supplements” to complement an exercise programme.
Although Lindsay is expected to serve less than two weeks of her 90-day jail sentence, experts believe she is unlikely to have her 90-day rehab stint cut short. Marty added, “In Lindsay’s case, a 30-day program just isn’t enough for her. The judge knows that, and won’t be letting her off a day early.”
The actress’ legal representative did not respond for comment.
