“The aim of the Maoist is to capture political power through violence. They are exploiting the socio-economic situation and creating Compact Revolutionary Zones (CRZ). But military options is not the solution to this problem. If India can talk to China to resolve border problem, with Pakistan on Kashmir, why not with the Maoists?” These were the views expressed at a Round Table Conference on “Maoist Challenge” “Area Domination And Development” here recently.
Former governors, retired bureaucrats, some sitting MPs and journalists took part in the conference organised by the CAPSI. Maharaja Bhanu Prakash Singh, former governor, is the patron on CAPSI. He chaired the conference.
During the welcome address chairman of the CAPSI Kunwar Vikram Singh, viewed that the issue is of serious concern to our nation’s integrity and sovereignty and much needs to be still covered in terms of a correct response to the problem.
