New Delhi, Sept. 6: The Election Commission on Monday announced a six-phase schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections, starting on October 21 and ending on November 20. Counting would be taken up on November 24. The model code of conduct came into force immediately.
This election will witness a triangular conflict between the JD(U)-BJP, the RJD-LJP alliance and the Congress which has decided to go it alone, this time.
