Actor Viveik Oberoi, who is all set to tie the knot with Priyanka Alva on October 29, decided to add some spice to his wedding. The star ‘emotionally blackmailed’ his close friend RJ and TV host Siddharth Kannan to striptease at his sangeet. And it’s not only that, apparently Viveik has been taking tips from Siddharth to woo Priyanka too.
Revealing about their ‘marriage deal’, Siddharth says, “When Viveik came to my talk show, I asked him who’s going to be dancing on his sangeet and he replied saying, ‘Sid K, you have been appointed to do a striptease for my sangeet.’ Although I refused at first, Viveik went to the extent of saying that he would book a dance rehearsal hall for me and get me a choreographer too. He pulled the emotional string of our 15-year-old friendship. And I agreed but on the condition that Viveik would also have to do anything I say on my wedding.”
Viveik is also going the South Indian way to impress Priyanka. “Viveik and Priyanka used to go for dinners and spend time together to know each other better. He wanted to impress Priyanka but did not know how to do so. So I taught Viveik to eat sambhar, rasam and rice with his hands in typical south Indian style and it was hilarious. He was playing with the rice half the time but proved to be a fast learner,” says Siddharth adding that they are not only excited about the wedding which will take place in Bengaluru on October 27, 28 and 29 but also gearing up for the big reception in Mumbai on October 31.
Siddharth finds the relationship between Viveik and Priya both amusing and wonderful. He says, “Recently, when I went to Viveik’s house, I bumped into Priyanka and her family who had come there for dinner. So I started pulling Viveik’s leg about his antics during college days. Priyanka was really keen on knowing about Viveik’s naughty past. She even confessed that she refused to speak to Viveik about films and that she hadn’t seen even one of his films. I was amused but it’s nice to know that she likes Viveik for the person he is more than anything else.”
Recalling their college days, Siddharth says, “Viveik was my senior in Mithibai College and we both were the ‘Rose Kings’ on campus as we used to get the maximum number of roses on Rose Day. Once I found out that Viveik would actually make his pocket money by selling the roses he received. So I used to blackmail him saying I would tell his little secret to all the girls on campus. As a result of which Viveik would always give me a good introduction whenever I had to perform on stage. It was good fun!”
