A representative of singer-actress Demi Lovato has rubbished reports that she is in a rehab for drug dependency issues. The 18-year-old star pulled out of the Jonas Brothers’ South American tour last month and checked into a treatment centre for emotional and physical issues. However, speculations were rife that that Lovato suffers from drug problems after a student went public with a wild night he spent with Lovato at a house party in Texas in December last year.
The star’s spokesperson has dismissed rehab reports. “Demi Lovato is not in treatment for drug or alcohol addiction. As we have said since she entered treatment last week, Demi decided to seek help for emotional and physical issues she has battled throughout her life. She has taken this step in order to get her life in order,” contactmusic.com quoted the spokesperson as saying. —IANS
