New Delhi: A man described as a commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen militant group was arrested after a gunfight in the capital, police said on Monday.
The man was caught after a brief firefight around 9.30 p.m. in Hauz Khas area, a police officer said.
"He fired at us and tried to escape, but was caught after half hour."
Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat confirmed the arrest, and said he was being interrogated by Special Cell.
A revolver and live cartridges were recovered from him.
