Erode: Angry over being refused money for constructing a house, a 74-year-old man allegedly murdered his son and surrendered here on Tuesday, police said.
Muthusamy demanded money from his bachelor son, Palanisamy, 40, for constructing a house for him on his land. But Palanisamy refused following which there was an altercation on Monday night, police said.
Around 5 am, Muthusamy went to Palanisamy's house and used a log to kill him.
Muthusamy later surrendered before police, who registered a murder case against him.
