Each passing day begins with some countdown. Teenage life is a task in itself. It’s that turning point in everyone’s life that makes or breaks you. Over the years, teenage stress has changed perilously. Every teen experiences some kind of a bad phase in life caused by different reasons. What’s common in this phenomena is that teens lose control over their thoughts, emotions and actions.
Some friends of mine try presenting themselves with very different facets of their personality in these situations. I know people who have easily given up on life making them obscenely rebellious and chose to lay low almost always. But by making the slightest effort, every teen can overcome depression. It’s during these times that friends play the most critical role in our lives. It lightens a teen’s mind and heart when they have someone to confide in. When you’ve found a true friend, you know you’ve found your gem. True friends are like lifeboats when your ship appears to be sinking. Someone who can help you maintain a positive outlook.
Hope is the most important factor of coping with bad times. However, teenage life is supposed to be the most enjoyable one. We tend to become socially active. But it is ruined when teens try to fit in. Some of my friends think it’s cool to race like freaks, smoke or drink and get high all the time.
Freedom also makes it hard for a teenager to adapt to new situations because they are already conformed to do what they want rather than for what is best in that situation. Which is why making the right friends is most important. I cope with my teenage crashes by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, talking to my close friends or chasing a new hobby. Being almost wise and setting a high personal standard has made my teenage life easier than those who claim to have hit rock bottom.
