I was a biology student till Class 12 and had even cleared prestigious exams like AIPMT and the one conducted by the Manipal Institute. But ever since I was a child, maybe 10 or 11, I knew that my passion was cooking. I always loved trying out new things even though my mum didn’t allow me. I would try and cook up a storm.
So, after Class 12, when it came to deciding a career option, I chose hotel management over medicine. Even though everyone was unhappy with my decision, I wanted to do something I was really passionate about.
Being a chef takes a lot of hard work and countless hours of being on your feet. And you can muster up the energy to do that only if you truly like what you do.
We are always told that you can’t make good food without love. And the satisfaction which you get after you have cooked something that brings a smile on someone’s face can’t be matched. Which is why I want to specialise in Indian cuisine and open my own restaurant.
