Bengaluru/Hubli, Dec. 27: As the Congress called for BJP national general secretary, Mr Ananth Kumar, to step down as Bengaluru MP and clear his name, after a national television channel and a weekly alleged he had leaked Cabinet secrets to the corporate lobbyist, Ms Niira Radia, during the NDA-led BJP government, the beleaguered leader threatened once again to file a defamation suit against the media house. Mr Kumar termed the charges “baseless” and challenged the UPA government to prove the charge.
He denied land was allotted to any trust of Ms Radia during the NDA rule.
