Automotive engineer Anup Pareek knew he was born to do something different in life. A random talk with male friends about women’s lingerie led to the creation of marilynme.com, an online concept lingerie store, which manufactures glow in the dark lingerie.
An idea born from guy talk, Anup shares, “We friends were talking about how plain women’s lingerie is. We all wondered if women would like to try something funky, and we came up with lingerie that glows in the dark.”
Priced between `1,700 and `3,400, the range offers bikinis, lace G-strings, baby doll negligees and silk French knickers.
Anup is excited about the World Cup and Valentine’s Day range that’s still in the pipeline. “We have had calls enquiring about the men’s range as well,” he adds.
Pretty and quirky stuff from Pop-Att, the brainchild of designers Rakhi Parekh and Khushboo Lahori is all about attitude. Their satin tops and shorts stuffed in a glass (barni) bottle is sure to catch your fancy. Hence, the idea to create matching tops and shorts.”
Adds Rakhi, “A sleep wear that comes packaged in glass jars will create that element of fun and surprise.” Available in tie and dye and a range of colours like mint, fuchsia, aqua, black and purple, these can be bought separately as well.
