A day after being attacked outside a Ghaziabad court, murdered teenager Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar was stable even though doctors were unable to give details of his conditions Wednesday.
The attacker Utsav Sharma, meanwhile, blamed his “emotional weakness” for the vicious assault. An official statement from the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, where Talwar was admitted, said he is being attended to by specialists.
“Doctor Rajesh Talwar was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday with multiple injuries. He is stable and continues to be managed by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors in the intensive care unit,” a statement from the hospital said.
Mr Talwar sustained serious injuries after he was attacked by Utsav Sharma with a cleaver. He suffered a serious head injury with a major blood vessel being snapped. His hands were also slashed as he covered his face to stave off repeated attacks by Utsav Sharma, the same man who had assaulted Haryana’s tainted former police chief S.P.S. Rathore in 2010. 14 days in custody for Utsav

Jan 26: Utsav Sharma, who had yesterday attacked Rajesh Talwar, the father of murdered teenager Aarushi, was on Wednesday remanded to 14-day judicial custody till February 8 by a Special CBI court in Ghaziabad.
After the court remanded him to judicial custody, Utsav blamed his emotional weakness for the viscious assault on Dr Rajesh.
“You can call it my weakness, you can say I am emotionally weak,” Utsav (30),
told reporters outside the Special Ghaziabad court on Wednesday.
“Talwar is wrong, so I attacked him,” he said.
Utsav, a resident of Varanasi, was pursuing film production at Ahmedabad’s National Institute of Design (NID). He had allegedly attacked Dr Rajesh with a cleaver outside the Special CBI court on Tuesday in full view of hundreds of people.
