A 27-year-old executive working with a multinational company in neighbouring Gurgaon has alleged that her senior colleague molested her and attempted to rape her when she resisted his advances after taking a ride back home in his car.
The Gurgaon police said a complaint was received by the victim, who is married, on Sunday wherein she alleged that her office colleague molested her and attempted to rape her when she protested against his advances.
“We have registered a first information report (FIR) against the person (name withheld) and are searching for him as the complaint came to us almost 10 days after the incident”, Krishna Murari, assistant commissioner police at Sadar police station told a news agency.
The sources revealed that the incident happened on January 20 when a party was organised by the company in Saket.
The accused offered to drop the victim back at her home. During the journey, the victim molested her. When the victim protested, he tried to rape her. The victim, however, managed to escape.
