Model-turned-actor Aryan Vaid is not having the best Valentine’s season. The actor, who along with his American wife Alexandra entered the reality show Love Lock-up this week seems to be bearing the brunt of the cultural differences between the two of them. A few confrontations turned ugly with some instances of physical aggression even.
However, the differences were not as sudden as they seemed. “We were having a lot of problems in our marriage for the last one-and-a-half year. Our cultural differences usually led to major fights and misunderstandings. When I got to know about this show, I grabbed the opportunity to resolve our issues. As expected, we got a lot of time to introspect and fix things,” says Aryan.
The actor says that the best part about being on the show was the way it created situations that forced them to communicate and sort out things. But Aryan regrets the moments when he lost his cool. “There was one time when I was extremely irritated and started throwing things around. It was certainly not a proud moment for me,” he confesses. But having said that he also cherishes the better moments with Alexandra. “I was moved when she actually went and touched my mother’s feet for blessings. She has never done that before, so it was special for both my mother and me.”
Although it remains to be seen how the couple fares in the latter stages of the reality show, as of now, it looks like Aryan is slowly inching towards burying the hatchet.
