Sonam seeks hard hitting roles

Apart from doing the fashion diva turn in Aisha, Sonam Kapoor has always been portrayed as a simple and sweet girl. Right from Saawariya to the latest Anees Bazmee flick Thank You, Sonam has always been the girl-next-door. However, the actor says that she is now looking forward to an image makeover of sorts, and wants to play some out-of-the-box characters.

In Mausam, she will be playing the role of a Muslim girl, for the second time after Saawariya. “In Thank You, I am playing Bobby Deol’s wife. I have enjoyed my roles in all my films so far. They have all been different characters and I didn’t have any problems working with older co-stars either. All these were simple roles and I enjoyed them, but now I want to do a more hard-hitting role,” she says.
