[1]The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained 130.76 points in early trade on Tuesday, maintaining its upward journey for the sixth consecutive day on sustained capital inflows as falling crude oil prices eased inflationary concerns.
The 30-share barometer, which gained over 1,100 points during the past five sessions, added 130.76 points, or 0.69 per cent, to 19,073.90 in the first five minutes of trade to regain the 19,000-level after two months.
In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index moved up by 32 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 5,719.25. Marketmen said foreign investors remained aggressive buyers in emerging markets, particularly India and China.
They added that falling crude oil prices eased inflationary concerns. Crude oil prices declined for the fourth straight day by 47 cents to USD 103.48 per barrel on Tuesday.
