An anonymous phone call threatening to blow up a the Indira Gandhi International airport here sparked a security alert.
Airport sources said a phone call was received by Air India call centre that a bomb was placed at the airport.
"It was a non-specific threat. It could be a hoax call. We have immediately enforced the standard operation procedure in such a situation. Security agencies are on the job," a senior official said, adding efforts were on to trace the call.
