In this non-stop chaotic life, how many of us actually pause for a minute and think about the unconditional love that our mothers have been showering on us all our lives? On Mother’s Day, we check with Delhiites about what qualities in their mom they admire the most, and aspire to imbibe.
Manish Tripathi, a designer and cartoonist, says, “I think the most inspiring quality about my mother is unconditional love. I was bought up in a joint family and I admired the way she took care of everyone.”
Media professional Bhaskar Pant opines, “The most important quality that I learnt from my mother is tolerance. She taught me how to cope with any kind of bad emotion and tolerate it to a certain extent without losing my cool. Even today, when I’m stressed, her assurance comforts me and can make me smile in a tense situation.”
Akanksha Madan, an IT professional, says, “When I was young my mother always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. She never stopped me from doing anything and always encouraged me to go for it.” Artist Boishali Sinha Massot says, “I want to thank my mother for being there. From giving birth to taking care of me till now, my mother stood by me. She protected me from all evils and took care of my needs at every step of life. Someone rightly said, ‘God can’t be everywhere so He made mothers.’ I think mothers are next to God for most of us, that’s why we love them so much throughout our life.”
