The latest inputs with the Central intelligence agencies suggest that nearly 80 hard-core militants of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) are waiting to cross the international border into India through Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, inputs indicate that Pakistan-based militant outfits are planning to send “probing missions” into several areas of the country to find out where they could appoint their “over ground workers” (OGWs) and also pass information about the activities of Indian security forces to their handlers.
“Inputs with the Indian agencies confirm that these militants are camping at Chham, Dhareri, Manapur, Mugal Dhok and Shardi in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. Reports also confirm that outfits have already sent their guides in J&K, who will assist these militants when they cross over”, sources said.
Guides are in constant touch with over ground workers of several Pak-based militant outfits based in J&K.
“Reports confirm that 10 militants of LeT are camping at Chham area of PoK and their likely route of infiltration will be Rafiabad area of Baramulla sector. Indian border guarding forces in the area are already on high alert”, sources said. Besides, 10 militants of LeT are camping at Manapur area of PoK and their likely route of infiltration will also be Baramulla, sources added.
Besides, more than 25 militants of LeT and HM are waiting to cross Indian border at Mugal Dhok launching pad in PoK. Their likely route of infiltration would be Sonapindi, sources said.
Another group of 10 LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen militants are camping at Shardi launching pad in PoK. This group is likely to infiltrate into the Indian territory through Sonapindi, sources said.
Sources further said, “Another group of 15 militants of LeT is camping in a new building near Khoje Chak Adda, Bajawat, in PoK. They are reportedly carrying out recce in area of Chinor and Ikramabad (Chenab river bed area), opposite R.S. Pura sector in J&K.”. Meanwhile, inputs also suggest that militant outfits are planning to sending “probing missions” into several areas of the country to find out where they could appoint their over ground workers in India.
