Most friends of mine will sooner put their hand through the rusty blades of a very slow blender rather than go shopping with their wives, or girlfriends. The excruciating agony of purchases conducted with a parity of indecisiveness and impulsiveness are too complex for any man to comprehend. If we knew whether a dress made you look fat, or thin we’d take up fashion designing as a viable career option.
This is in fact the one reason why women never understand football because, unlike in real life, they can’t shift the goalpost! But men are no walk in the park either. We shop like Spartans during wartime! I think, in a relationship we all need time out and this is why shopping is the perfect way to create that appreciable gap, thereby proving that distance that certainly makes the heart grow fonder. All said and done, shopping is a personal indulgence. The singular the better. Sure take someone along but in the end, remember this: if a guy is willing to follow you around a mall all day and sit through your personal fashion parade, then he certainly likes you enough not to care about what you wear and whether it brings out the colour in your cheeks or makes your derriere look plump!
