The Andhra Pradesh police on Wednesday issued legal notice to two key members of the Sathya Sai Central Trust in connection with Rs 35.5 lakh seized from a car belonging to the trust.
Police had seized the cash at Bagepally toll-gate in Anantapur district and held one person. He claimed that the money was handed over by trust officials.
The money was seized on June 18, two days after the trust opened at Yajur Mandir.
Soon after seizure, police started vehicle check at all exit points.
The AP government said that it would interfere if the trust does not discharge its responsibilities properly.
